Movie Day!

On Tuesday, February 28th it was raining so Adam and I decided to take the boys to their first movie. We headed to Anaheim Hills to see Curious George at 5:00 p.m. We were about the only ones in the theater so it we were able to let Alec roam around the aisle we were sitting in during the movie. He actually paid attention very well and laughed at many of the jokes. I think his favorite part though was the popcorn and soda we ate. Aaron enjoyed the movie as well! I propped his carseat up so he could see the screen and he sat still watching for the entire movie, just napping for about 15 minutes of it.

After we left the movie we got take out from Wood Ranch and went home to enjoy the rest of our evening. It was a WONDERFUL day out with our family and it really made Adam and I appreciate all the blessings we have in our children.

A day at Chuck E. Cheese

On Friday, February 24th AJ (Aunt Jane), CJ (Jason), and Jillin (Jill) took Alec to Chuck E. Cheese for a fun afternoon. Alec LOVES hanging out with his AJ and always has a blast with her!

Grammie was even able to come by on her lunch hour and see Alec playing. How much better can this day get?!

Alec and CJ playing air hockey.

Alec on his favorite ride, Bob the Builder. He is actually quite posessive of this ride. He stays on it almost the entire time he is at CEC and gets quite upset if any other kids try and ride it.

Fun with Maddie!

On Friday, February 17th we headed out to Corona to visit with Kelly and Maddie for the morning. Despite some logistical obsticals (they were paving the streets) Alec enjoyed playing with Maddie and all her cool girl toys. Kelly and I enjoyed talking and catching up with eachother.

Alec and Maddie playing on the giant doggie.

Aaron chilling out on the floor watching Maddie and Alec play.

Alec LOVED the tent with the balls inside of it. Maybe with our new bigger house we can get something like this for him to play with! :)

A sweet picture of our good friend Maddie!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Happy Valentines Day from the Hawley Hearbreakers!!

San Diego Zoo

For Valentines Day I took Alec and Aaron to Miss Heidi's class in the morning and then right after class we headed down to San Diego to meet Uncle Bri-Bri, Aunt Care-Care and Kasey at the San Diego Zoo to hang out for the day. It was so nice at the zoo because it was almost empty and all the animals were very active. We especially enjoyed the monkeys and the pigmy hippos. After the zoo we all went to dinner together. It was so nice to spend Valentines Day with our best friends!

Myself, Aaron and Carrie watching the boys "monkey" around...

Aaron LOVES his Baby Bejorn because he can see what is going on and he can suck on the material of the carrier...yummy!

Bumbo Fun

While Aaron enjoyed his new Bumbo, Alec and I had some fun and turned the box it came in into Tidmuth Sheds for his Thomas Trains. In case you are not educated in the Thomas lingo, Tidmuth Sheds is where all the Thomas Trains go to sleep each night.

Alec had a blast with the box for a good two hours...until he tried to use it as a step stool, fell through it, and ruined it. All good things must come to an end, right?

Here is Aaron, happy as a clam, sitting in his Bumbo. I would highly recommend this seat to anyone who is having a baby! Aaron loves it because he can sit up straight and watch what is going on around the room. The only problem is that he can't escape from it! As much as he wiggles, arches and throws himself around, the Bumbo does not budge!! I love this thing!!

To sell or not to sell?

Adam and I are going through a unsettling time right now as we are trying to decide to sell our house and move to a bigger one or stay where we are. The pros would be that we would have a bigger house where the kids would have more room to play and we (ad and I) would have a master suite with a good size bathroom. The cons would be the bigger price tag and learning to live on a tighter budget. We are going out looking at new houses today with our realtor to see what is out there. It will have to be absolutely perfect for us to consider moving....

I know this is different than my regular kids post, but I wanted to ask you for some prayers for us to do the right thing. Thank you!!

Rub-a-dub-dub

Two boys in a tub!!

Aaron is so talented! Even sitting in the tub he can put his toe in his mouth to suck on!

Alec and Aaron LOVE taking baths together. Alec is very careful to pour water just on Aaron's head and body and keep it away from his face. Alec laughs hysterically when Aaron splashes the water with his feet and arms.

Cheesy smile in the bath tub! This is one of those picutres that I will put in the book to pull out on prom night to show his date!

My sweet boys

Despite two teeth trying to come through and some constipation (sorry, too much information) I can still get a smile out of this sweet little guy! He is getting so big!!

Double trouble! Alec is enjoying two of his favorite past times here...eating and looking in the mirror! If you have never been to our house, we have a huge wall of mirrors in the living room. Alec loves playing in front of the mirror and watching himself. I am sure Freud would have something to say about this!!

Aaron loves putting his feet straight up in the air when he is laying on his back, but usually only when he is awake. I went in to check on him when he was napping and I found him ASLEEP with his legs sticking straight up in the air. Silly boy!

Mommy and Aaron's road trip

On Friday, February 3rd I dropped off Alec to spend the day and night with Grandma and Aaron and I headed down to San Diego to hang out with the Day family! Aaron slept the entire time driving down to San Diego and was very happy to meet Kasey for the first time when we got there!

Brian, Carrie, Kasey, Aaron and I hung out on Friday down in La Jolla and drove all around San Diego. We got take out for dinner and then watched a movie that night. It was a wonderful day to hang out and enjoy each others company.

Carrie and I decided that Aaron and Kasey are betrothed to each other. It's not too early for that, right?

The Day family!

I feel so blessed that I could share the mothering experience with my best friend Carrie. I know that our children will have MANY happy times playing and hanging out together in the future!

5 months old!

It is so hard to believe it has been 5 months since he has been born, yet I can't imagine life without him. Aaron has developed into SUCH a sweet little boy! He smiles like crazy and absolutely loves attention. His favorite things are sitting in his exersaucer (but not for too long), watching his brother and dog run around the house, blowing raspberries, and sucking on his big toes. Aaron is doing pretty well with his night sleeping. He goes down for bed around 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. and usually only wakes up for a bottle around 4 or 5:00 a.m. He goes right back down after that and usually sleeps till around 7:00 a.m. I truly wish I could freeze him at the age he is right now for a little while.

Look at those rolls on the legs! Those are just screaming to be kissed and tickled!!!

One of my very favorite things about Aaron are his eyes. Some days they are blue, sometimes green, and sometimes they are the most beautiful shade of grey you have ever seen! I am so curious to know what they will end up!
