The final Easter installment...

After having brunch with the Youngs we headed over to the Hawley's house for dinner. Jeannie's sister Jo, her husband Harry, and their two boys Murell and Julian were out and spent the day with us. We were so happy that they were able to meet Aaron for the first time!

Alec on yet another easter egg hunt. He had a BLAST following Murell and Julian around and trying to do everything that they did!

Nope, not in Hawaii...we wish! We are in the beautiful back yard of the Young home!

Easter at the Youngs

Easter morning we all met at St. Juliana's in Fullerton to attend mass as a family. Afterwards we went over to the Youngs house for a wonderful Easter brunch.

Happy Easter!!!

The Easter bunny made a stop at Mammoth Circle this year hiding plastic eggs inside and real eggs in the back yard. Alec had a blast going around and finding all of them!

Alec picked out his own easter basket this year. He fell in LOVE with this Shrek basket that we found at Kohls. He also picked out Aaron's basket for him. It was in the shape of a baseball.

Aaron did not care much for hunting for easter egggs but he sure did enjoy trying to chew on them!

Alec was SO surprised on Easter morning to find the basket full of Thomas gear that was left for him! How the heck did the easter bunny know??

Coloring Easter Eggs

The night before Easter Adam, Alec and I sat down to color the easter eggs for the Easter bunny to hide the next day. Alec had practiced at Grandma's house the day before so he was ready to go!!

Adam and Alec making a green egg...(I know, thank you captain obvious!!)

Mommy and her BIG boy!!!

Alec had some fun with the stickers...ok, Adam and I stuck them all over his face, but he was laughing hysterically when we did it. He then removed them one by one and put them all over the eggs. What a wonderful family night!

My Hubby....

Can you make a guess as to what these pictures are?

Hmmm....looks like some kind of light pattern in the dark....

It seems to be moving around pretty fast....can you guess??

If you guessed Adam playing outside in the dark with his new light saber, then you were right!!!

We were at costco at they had official Star Wars light sabers there and adam could not resist buying one. He had just been looking at them online so he was excited to see them somewhere in person and for such a good price. He has a BLAST with it! I guess we all have a little geek in us...and here is Adam's!!

shhhhhh....we are sleeping!!

I can't resist sleeping pictures of my boys. I sneak in on a regular basis and just sit and watch the boys sleeping. They are just SO sweet!!

Alec is a classic back sleeper and moves a lot in his sleep. He is pretty hard to wake up and will sleep through almost anything at night. The only problem is that he is a early riser. Adam and I are NOT morning people so it does not go over very big when Alec gets up at 6:30 a.m. and comes into our room to play. He has learned to go and "snap" his train tracks together by himself for an hour before we get up. I think he enjoys the peace and quiet.

Aaron is what I call a stink bug sleeper. He sleeps on his tummy, with his legs tucked under him and his butt up in the air. For quite a while he was a very light sleeper and the smallest sound would wake him up. Thankfully he has become more like his brother and will now sleep through almost anything....as long as he has his binky. I have a feeling that it is going to be harder to take away from him then it was from Alec.

Easter Party at Church

The week before Easter the Mom's Club at church held a Easter party for all the kids at the parish. Inside the hall there were games, crafts, cupcakes, and juice boxes and then outside on the lawn we had a Easter egg hunt for all the kids. We invited Ian and Cormac to come and join us for a day of fun!

Here is Alec with the Easter bunny. I am actually quite surprised that he so willingly went up and took a picture with him. I would have been terrified if I was his age!!

Alec and Ian after the Easter egg hunt on the lawn.

Aaron was quite fascinated with the Easter bunny!

A fun night out

On Friday, April 7th myself, Allie and Amy went out for a fun impromptu night of bowling. We met at Garden Grove Bowl, played a game, and then headed into the bar for some Karaoke, drinks, and darts...a lethal combination when mixed in with the Young girls!! We had a blast!

The three Young girls out for a fun night. Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE my sisters?

Ok, so two beers and one shot does me in. I was a tad toasted. When did I become such a lightweight?

Aaron in April...

Some cute pictures of Aaron taken the first few days of April.

Sportin' his first Angels hat. A tad too big, but still adorable!

Aaron is SO close to crawling! He will get on all fours and rock back and forth. He will then move forward with his arms, but then do a face plant since he does not know how to move his legs yet. He also managed to get a nice spit foam going on his chin from blowing raspberries. Very attractive!

What a charmer!

My 7 month old!!

Aaron turned 7 months old on the 25th of this month. He is getting bigger and is developing more and more personality each day! He has finally taken to solid food with his favorites being applesauce and sweet potatoes. He has learned how to twist, turn, and roll across the floor to get to a toy or anything else that he wants. He seems to be quite mischevious and I can only imagine what things he is going to be into when he really starts moving.

As from the beginning, Aaron is just an absolute sweet heart. I love watching his face when Adam, Grammie, or Grandma comes into the room. Aaron's face just lights up with the biggest smile you have ever seen.

Our New House...

On March 17th, St. Patricks Day, Adam and I put in an offer on a new house! We have not sold our house yet, but we found a house that we fell in LOVE with and it was a great price so we went for it. Thankfully we were able to work a 90 day escrow into the deal so we have some time to sell our house. Hopefully things will work out ok. There are lots of prayers being said, let me tell you that! Here are just a few pictures of our new house. To see the rest of it you will have to either come and help us move in June or come to our big Open House/Housewarming party once we are moved in. You are ALL invited!!

This is a view from the family room looking into the breakfast nook, part of the kitchen, and onto the backyard. The current owners are smokers so we will need to paint the house from top to bottom and re-do the flooring. Not a problem since the decorating style is not exactly what we want anyway. The house has SO much potential and I can't wait to get in there and start doing stuff!

Here is a picture of the outside of the house downloaded from the MLS. On the day of the inspection we met our neighbors who were very nice. They said that the culdesac is filled with children playing on the weekends and that everyone gets along very well. I am sure we will fit in the community very well!

A picture of Adam standing in the living room taken by me standing at the top of the stairs. Alec is SO excited that he will be moving to a house with stairs...I am more excited about a inside laundry room. Wow, have my priorities changed!!

A day at the San Diego Zoo

Every winter we, along with the Celmers, make a trip up to Big Bear for a fun day together. We had planned on going up there this day, but due to heavy snow fall the prior weekend as well as another foot forecasted for that night, we decided that maybe going down to San Diego and going to the Zoo was a better choice.

We headed down to San Diego and met up with Brian, Carrie, and Kasey at their house. We went out for a nice lunch and then headed to the zoo. We had a wonderful time looking at all the animals and enjoying our friends company.

Alec and Maddie strolling along in the zoo. Next thing you know Alec will be buying Maddie a sippy cup full of milk and a cookie! How two-year-old romantic!

For some reason the pictures came up a little out of order but it is late and I don't feel like trying to change them around. Anyway, here is Alec on the way home after a day filled with fun. This is about the only time during the day where he is NOT talking. Aaahhh...peace and quiet!

Carrie, Kelly, Myself, Aaron, and Brian having some fun at the zoo. Apparently Aaron's Baby Bjorn has some reflective strips on it. Does not make for the most flattering picture of one's self!

It's Baseball Time Again!!

On March 12th a bunch of people from Adam's work got tickets to go and see the World Baseball Classic at Angel Stadium. The tickets were purchased quite a bit ahead of time so we had no idea who was going to be playing that night. It turned out to be Mexico vs. Korea. It was quite an interesting turnout of fans!! We just wanted to go and see some pre-season baseball! We had two extra tickets so we asked Jason and Allie to go with us. Despite freezing weather, terrible seats, and a horribly boring game, we had a great time together.

There were only two good things about our seats...their view of the bullpins and the proximity to the snack stand. Now if only the beers were not 10 bucks a pop!!

The four of us trying to keep warm at the game. As you can tell from the empty seats, lots of people decided to skip out on the game and stay home where it was not FREEZING!!

Me and my ever hilarious hubby! Who can resist a nice face like that? I am so lucky!!

Alec and AJ

One of Alec's favorite people in the world is his AJ. She and Uncle Ludy came over for dinner and Alec had a blast playing with them. One of his new favorite things to do is to take his glass and tap it to another class and proclaim, "Cheers!!" He of course laughs hysterically after he does it...

Cheers!! Oops...hope that is Mommy's wine glass!

My lawn boys...

Alec thought it was the greatest thing that Daddy was outside doing the lawn so he ran and got his play lawn mower and started helping. I bet Adam can't wait till Alec is big enough to do the entire job himself!

Helping Daddy push the big lawn mower.

There is nothing like spending a warm California afternoon mowing the lawn!

Ian's 3rd Birthday

Ian, Alec's best buddy, turned three on March 8th. The week of his birthday, at Miss Heidi's class we had a little celebration and then that Friday Pauline had his birthday party at his house. Despite bad weather the birthday party was lots of fun and all the boys had a blast. Below are some pictures of the birthday celebration at Miss Heidi's class.

Miss Heidi and Ian in front of the class while we sang Happy Birthday to Ian.

Alec singing his heart out!!

Alec playing outside holding his favorite train toy. He always rushes outside at the start of free play to make sure and grab his train. Watch out if someone else is playing with it!!! No one messes with Alec and his trains!

Date night at Lawry's

Every year for Jason's birthday we head out to LA and have dinner at Lawry's for some yummy prime rib. Ironically almost all of our kids were sick the few days before we went so it was up in the air as to if we would be able to make it or not. Thankfully all the kids improved enough for us all to get out and enjoy a much needed date night.Birthday boy Jason and Kelly.

Phil and Natalie
Chris and Janet
You know these guys I hope...

After having a HUGE dinner at Lawry's we all went up to Universal City Walk to walk off some of the thousands of calories that we had just consumed. After we finished there (did not take that long, was not much to do) we went back to Phil and Natalie's house and hung out talking until late. It is so nice to be able to hang out with our friends and enjoy eachother as we used to before all these kids came along!

The proof is in the picture...

Back in January we were over at Phil and Natalie's house playing cards with them, us, and the Celmers. Mya and Alec were watching TV and playing in the other room while we were playing cards. At the end of the card game we realized that Mya and Alec were very quiet. I walked into the other room and cound them laying like this on the couch. It was like they were just snuggling and watching TV. Natalie immediatly got her camera and took this picture. We figure we can include it in their photo slide show at their wedding reception one day...
