Welcome to the world Kasey Day!

I received a call on Wednesday, January 18th from my best friend Carrie at about 10:00 a.m. that she was leaving work and driving to the hospital because she was feeling a little crampy. I did not think too much of the call because Carrie was not due until February 7th. About an hour later we received a call from Brian who met her at the hospital that Carrie was 5 cm dilated and going to deliver that day! I arranged child care for the kids and Adam found coverage for work that night and we headed down to San Diego. We arrived at the hospital around 3:30 p.m. and Carrie was already fully dilated and pushing so we went to the waiting room to wait with Carrie's dad and Brian's parents to hear the news.

Proud father Brian came out to us and announced that it was a girl! Kasey Josephine Day was born at 4:01 p.m. and was 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 20 inches long. Both Carrie and Kasey were doing great!

We visited with everyone for a while that evening and then Adam and I headed to Barona Valley Ranch Indian Casino and Resort to spend the night. We took advantage of the night away and had a wonderful night. The next morning we went back to the hospital and hung out with the Day family for a while then headed back up to the O.C.

We could not be happier for Brian and Carrie and their new addition to their family!
